Virgin PTFE
Acoflon® 100
We sell virgin PTFE as compounds under our own brand, Acoflon® 100.
The distinguishing features of this product include::
- Extremely low friction
- Exceptional chemical resistance
Thanks to these peerless attributes, Acoflon® 100 is often in high demand in connection with the production of:
- Pharmaceutical machine parts
- Food production machine parts
PTFE Glass fibre
Acoflon® 105
PTFE mixed with short glass fibres features the following enhanced attributes:
- Excellent wear resistance
- Excellent compressive strength
- Low cold flow
We sell PTFE Glass fibre as the Acoflon® 105 compound, for example, with special features include improved mechanical attributes at high temperatures, combined with superior wear resistance and service life. A special type of glass can also be used to accommodate demands for elevated chemical resistance.
Acoflon® 105 (25% glass fibre) and other PTFE materials including glass fibres are particularly suitable for:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals

PTFE Carbon fibre
Acoflon® 212 CF
We use carbon fibres in compounds such as our Acoflon® 212 CF product, which is distinguished by:
- High elasticity
- Excellent wear resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance
These enhanced attributes are in particularly high demand for the production of:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals
- Offshore solutions

PTFE Bronze
Acoflon® 408
The addition of bronze particles to PTFE results in improvements including:
- Enhanced mechanical attributes at high temp.
- Elevated heat conducting capacity
- Excellent wear resistance
- Electrical conductor
On account of the increased heat conducting capacity, PTFE Bronze – including our Acoflon® 408 compound – is usually used in applications that involve coping with high temperatures and pressure:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals
- Self-lubricating applications

PEEK
Acoflon® 813
PEEK is an inherently stable material with particularly good bend and tensile strength, as well as dimensional stability that it maintains even at high temperatures. PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) has the following advantages:
- Low friction
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Excellent wear resistance
- Low cold flow
- Dimensional stability
PEEK covers a broad spectrum of applications, including:
- Pharmaceutical machine parts
- Food production machine parts
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals
- Self-lubricating applications
PTFE modificeret
Acoflon® M100
Modified PTFE is found in several compounds including our own Acoflon® M100. This is actually PTFE which a small amount of PPVE (perfluoro(propylvinylether)) has been added. This produces a denser polymer structure without affecting the high chemical resistance of PTFE. The primary benefits of modified PTFE are:
- Low cold flow
- Dimensional stability
- Low permeability
- Improved mechanical attributes
The dense structure reduces the permeability of the material and boosts the mechanical attributes in general. The cold flow of this material is half that of virgin PTFE, and it is much easier to achieve a fine surface finish on machined parts. These attributes make the material an attractive choice for the production of:
- Pharmaceutical machine parts
- Food production machine parts
- Bellows and membranes
PTFE Carbon
Acoflon® 215
Adding electro-graphitised carbon (E-carbon/soft carbon) to PTFE improves several of the product attributes:
- Low thermal expansion
- Good pressure resistance/wear resistance
- Low cold flow
- Improved retention of mechanical attributes at high temperatures
The carbon additive is an electrical conductor, which constitutes an extra benefit when the machine parts need to be antistatic and used in applications to ATEX requirements. PTFE Carbon – including Acoflon® 215 (25% soft carbon) – are used in particular for:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals

PTFE Grafit
Acoflon® 305
Graphite is especially useful in wet environments, adding a variety of positive attributes to PTFE products:
- Self-lubricating attributes
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Low adhesion (sticking) over time
Acoflon® 305 and our other PTFE Graphite materials are in particular demand for:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Self-lubricating applications
- Gaskets and seals

PTFE Steel
Acoflon® 510
The distinguishing features of products made out of PTFE whith stainless steel particles (AISI 410L) have these attributes:
- Enhanced mechanical attributes at high temp.
- Great heat conducting capacity
- Extremely high wear resistance
- Low cold flow
PTFE Steel – such as Acoflon® 510 – is often used in applications involving abrasive wear on opposing surfaces:
- Bearings and piston rings
- Gaskets and seals
