PEHD is a part-crystalline opaque thermoplastic which, due to its toughness, abrasion resistance and resistance to fatigue fractures, is widely used in the manufacture of wear parts and machine components. At the same time, the material is particularly suitable for contact with food, and is amongst other things used for plastic bags and bottles.

PEHD’s main advantages:

  • Good abrasion resistance – even under special conditions
  • Good properties at low temperatures
  • Good resistance to many chemicals and moisture
  • Very low coefficient of friction
  • High impact strength and insulation capability
