PEHD is available in several forms, including extruded and compressed panels, rods, piping, and welding wire.
PEHD is not resistant to strongly oxidising chemicals.
PEHD is resistant to numerous organic solvents.
PEHD complies with the RoHS directive. PEHD is available in a fire-retardant version and a version that is highly steam-proof.
PEHD is used in bottles, plastic bags, chopping boards, containers, pipe systems, wearing parts, machine parts, playground equipment, and skating rinks, as well as for anti-slip and wearing surfaces in the gravel, cement, powder, and transport industries.
PEHD features a soft surface, poor adhesion and painting attributes, low UV resistance and poor dimensional stability.

The key benefits of PEHD:
- Excellent wear resistance – even under special conditions
- Good attributes at low temperatures
- High resistance to many chemicals and moisture
- Extremely low friction coefficient
- High notch impact strength and insulation capacity
- Highly steam-proof
